Hello, readers,
I thought it might be nice to give you an idea as to how things are going in the great, wonderful world of Foodette, and tell you what's on tap for the upcoming season. As you know, I'm always reaching and striving to make this website a better experience for you, so for the next month, I'll be featuring a poll so that I can better narrow the scope of the site and focus on what you want to read- tell me what you like. Do you miss my more specialty-oriented foods? Would you like to see more lifestyle information, like decor and fashion, on this blog? Are you keen on hearing more about my foray into a gluten-free diet? How about more recipes?
In asking you this, I hope that you'll share all of your ideas for me so that this site can continue to grow and blossom as I do- beautifully, if a bit awkwardly, and plastered across the internet for all to see. I'm also pleased to announce that I'll (fingers crossed) be doing a bit of site redesign in the next few weeks. I'm switching from one free template to another free template- law school ain't cheap, but I think this one will be cleaner, more photo-oriented, and easier to navigate than the beloved orange and turquoise Danish mess you've come to know and love for three years. And who knows? Maybe sometime soon, the site will be on its own two feet.
For now, just sit back and enjoy and please, give me feedback. I would like to expand this into a site where more discussion is fostered- so talk to me. Whatever you say, be sure that I'll listen. For now, expect to see plenty of interesting CT/MA/NY restaurant reviews, more intrepid steps into gluten-free eating and reviewing, and a healthy helping of snark to help you start your day.
As always, thanks for reading!
Jess
Foodette Reviews
Hi,
ReplyDeleteThanks for inviting feedback about the site! I love the site and your witty writing style, but I mainly come for news and reviews on specialty foods, restaurants and gourmet products. There are so many other sites devoted to design, lifestyle and even gluten-free living, but I became a fan because I liked that you established yourself in the "foodie" niche. I would love to see the site continue in that direction.
But thanks for working so hard to deliver fun, fresh content!
My favorite posts are product and restaurant reviews. I've been thinking about limiting my gluten as an experiment to find out what it is I'm eating that my body all of sudden hates so much (ah the joys of getting older) so I would like to see more gluten free product reviews/recipes. In my opinion, gluten free products are far too expensive to buy without reading a review or two before purchasing.
ReplyDeleteAs a food lover from CT, I love reading your reviews and about how much you've experienced since I started reading this site a year and a half ago. Keep doing what you're doing and I'll keep reading!
ReplyDeleteHi guys,
ReplyDeleteThank you for all of your wonderful feedback so far! It means a lot to me that you like how the site is already- I definitely still think that it needs a fresh design, but I promise to deliver the same content you know and adore- and wit, too!
